How can I read the temperature from the ProboStat

Thermocouple develops a voltage difference between it's tips. This voltage is a function of the thermocouple type and the temperature difference. To know the temperature difference one must measure the voltage.

There are instruments that can automatically measure and convert this voltage to a temperature such as handheld multi-meters, desktop digital multi-meters, thermocouple readers. Remember to set the device to the appropriate thermocouple type.

When converting the voltage to temperature manually, use conversion table (of appropriate type) or conversion function. Remember to add the atmospheric temperature to the result. Standard ProboStat will always have thermocouples of K- or S-type with green or orange panel-mounts accordingly.
