Crucible holder support tube that fits in the ProboStat and lets you perform controlled atmosphere anneals of powders and samples, sintering, etc.

Comes in diameters of 30 or 24 mm, allowing use of crucibles up to 24 or 20 mm.

Stop plate may be inserted at different heights, allowing use of crucibles of varying depth. 

The ProboStat handles high temperatures and controlled atmospheres. So why not use one also for annealing powders or samples, or sintering, under controlled atmospheres or vacuum? 

A special 24 or 30 mm support tube comes with a stop plate (included) that can be inserted at three different heights, to hold crucibles (20 or 24 mm max. diameter) of different depth (see the figure). Alternatively, the top position can be used for a plate for samples. 

The floating gas for atmosphere control is supplied to the outer or inner chamber, and floats past the crucible into the other chamber on its way out.

For the 24 mm support a standard TCC/D thermocouple can be used to monitor the temperature at the center height of the crucible. For the 30 mm support the TCC/D needs to be threaded in a flat capillary.
