Power supply

for furnaces and heating mantles

Many commercial as well as home-made heating devices (furnaces, heating mantles and tapes) lack a good temperature control and power supply system. For instance, an existing system may lack a high-quality PID controller, or it may lack computer communication. It may also lack functionality for use with sample holders such as the ProboStat which comprises its own thermocouple that may come in addition to the heater's built-in thermocouple. 

For such applications we now offer custom made, functional power supplies with state-of-the art Eurotherm controllers. One important part of the product is the possibility to use more than one thermocouple, e.g. one in the sample holder and one in the heater. This enables one to use the cell's thermocouple for accurate control at high temperatures, and the heater's thermocouple for stable heating at moderately high and close to ambient temperatures. The second display can then monitor the actual sample temperature.  

Or you can just consider it for the simple power supply/control unit you're missing for your heater regardless of application.

Specifications: 

The power supply is intended for furnaces and other heaters designed to be powered by 220-240 V AC mains, < 10 A / 2400 W.

All controllers and displays are standard Eurotherm models.

Controller: Eurotherm 2216 or similar, with optional computer communications

Three thermocouple inputs

Controller routeable by front panel switch to thermocouples "Heater",  "1" or "2".

Extra thermocouple display (optional) routeable by front panel switch to thermocouples "Heater",  " 1" or "2".

Overheating safety switch (optional) always connected to thermocouple "Heater".

Delivered in a 19'' rack-mountable case. This can accommodate up to 2 supply & control units. Non-installed items are replaced by blank front panel plates to allow retro-fit.

The unit is built to CE standards.
