2Wet Humidifier
The 2Wet is a laboratory gas humidifier providing direct, repeatable control of water vapor partial pressure in a gas stream. It's a direct successor and replaces the humidification function of the HumiStat and FCMix instruments.
Unlike a bubbler, which depends on temperature stability and carrier flow rate for its output, the 2Wet measures evaporated fluid by mass and controls evaporation temperature with a PID loop.
Key specifications
| Absolute humidity range | 25 to 1,000,000 ppm |
| Relative humidity range | 0.0025% to 100% RH at any temperature |
| Evaporation control | PID-controlled temperature; fluid dosed by mass |
| Fluids | Water and compatible low-viscosity liquids |
| Pressure | Up to 5 bar(a) |
| Heated transfer line | 1.2 m standard, up to 150°C (higher on request) |
The 2Wet is typically used downstream of a 2Mix, humidifying a pre-blended gas stream before it enters the sample chamber. This is the standard configuration for ProboStat measurements requiring simultaneous pO2 and pH2O control.
